2023 6th International Symposium on Traffic Transportation and Civil Architecture & Smart Waterway Engineering Management Seminar (ISTTCA & SWEM 2023) successfully held online
On June 10, 2023, 2023 6th International Symposium on Traffic Transportation and Civil Architecture & Smart Waterway Engineering Management Seminar (ISTTCA & SWEM 2023) was successfully held online. It was co-hosted by IEEE technical sponsor, Tianjin University and Toronto Metropolitan University, and was co-organized by Tianjin Water Transport Engineering Society, Shipping Management Committee of China Institute of Navigation, Tianjin Port Engineering Institute Co., Ltd. of CCCC First Harbor Engineering Co. Ltd., Key Laboratory of Port Geotechnical Engineering Technology and Transportation Industry, Tianjin Research Institute for Water Transport Engineering of the Ministry of Transport, Tianjin Chengjian University, Tianjin University of Technology, Xi’an University of Technology, and the School of Transportation of Fujian University of Technology.
Over 130 individuals hailing from more than 50 esteemed universities across the globe, including Tsinghua University, Tianjin University, National University of Singapore, University of Auckland, Tokyo City University, Xi’an University of Technology, Southeast University, Shanghai Maritime University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology, as well as over 10 notable scientific research institutes such as China Waterborne Transport Research Institute and Transport Planning and Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport, participated in this seminar. It was broadcast live on various platforms, garnering over 6,500 views.
Opening Address
Zhifa Yu, Deputy Chief Engineer of Tianjin Port Engineering Institute Co., Ltd. of CCCC First Harbor Engineering Co. Ltd., and Guangsi Chen, Deputy Director of the Institute of Geotechnical Engineering of Tianjin University, delivered opening addresses respectively.
Keynote Speeches
Professor Yanlong Li of Xi’an University of Technology (represented by Dr. Lei She), Professor Run Liu of Tianjin University (represented by Dr. Ruohan Sun), Professor Gaofeng Zhao of Tianjin University, Dean Deyi Wu of Anhui Jianzhu University, and Director Bo Geng of Bridge Institute of China Merchants Chongqing Communications Technology Research & Design Institute Co. Ltd. delivered remarkable presentations on geotechnical engineering, tunnel boring machine, bridge seismic resistance, and other aspects. The attending experts exchanged the latest research achievements and advanced experiences in the industry and shared their unique insights on the development trends and research directions.

The academic presentations were delivered by 40 scholars from Tsinghua University, National University of Singapore, University of Auckland, Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology, Dalian Maritime University, China Waterborne Transport Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport, Zhejiang Communications Construction Group Co. Ltd., and other universities and institutes.

In addition to the remarkable presentation session, a total of 23 academic paper posters were received and displayed at the seminar.
2023 6th International Symposium on Traffic Transportation and Civil Architecture & Smart Waterway Engineering Management Seminar provided a sharing platform of scientific research achievements and cutting-edge technologies for researchers and engineering technicians in transportation, civil engineering, and related fields. 第六届交通运输与土木建筑国际学术论坛暨智慧水运研讨会（ISTTCA & SWEM 2023）已成功召开线上会议！
2023年6月10日，由IEEE技术支持、天津大学和多伦多都会大学联合主办，天津市水运工程学会、中国航海学会水运工程专业委员会、中交天津港湾工程研究院有限公司、港口岩土工程技术交通运输行业重点实验室、交通运输部天津水运工程科学研究院、天津城建大学、天津理工大学、西安理工大学、福建理工大学（原福建工程学院）交通运输学院联合协办的第六届交通运输与土木建筑国际学术论坛暨智慧水运研讨会（ISTTCA & SWEM 2023）成功召开线上会议。
来自清华大学、天津大学、新加坡国立大学、奥克兰大学、东京城市大学、西安理工大学、东南大学、上海海事大学、华中科技大学、西安建筑科技大学等50余所国内外知名院校，交通运输部水运研究所、交通运输部规划研究院等10余所科研院所的130余人参加了此次学术会议。本次会议通过多平台直播，总观看人次超过6500次。

大会由中交天津港湾工程研究院有限公司副总工程师喻志发与天津大学岩土工程研究所副所长陈广思分别作开幕式致辞。
主讲报告
西安理工大学李炎隆教授（佘磊老师代）、天津大学刘润教授（孙若晗老师代）、天津大学赵高峰教授、安徽建筑大学吴德义院长与招商交科桥梁院的耿波院长围绕岩土、隧道掘进机、桥梁抗震等方面做了精彩的报告。与会专家深入交流了行业发展的最新研究成果和先进经验，分享了对行业发展趋势和研发方向的独到见解。
口头报告
本次会议有来自清华大学、新加坡国立大学、奥克兰大学、北京建筑大学、西安建筑科技大学、大连海事大学、交通运输部水运科学研究所、浙江交工集团等高校院所和单位，共40位学者带来学术报告。
